Fat Suit TikTok Video Sparks Backlash

A TikTok posted by comedian and TikTok creator Ezee has sparked backlash after viewers identified the video as a parody of Samyra, a plus-size activist known for her advocacy and commentary online.

In a video posted Jan. 10, 2026, Ezee appears wearing prosthetic padding and a wig, mimicking the cadence and visual style commonly associated with Samyra’s content. Although Ezee does not name Samyra directly, many viewers quickly recognized the resemblance and interpreted the skit as targeted satire rather than a generalized character.

Samyra responded with her own TikTok video, saying, “Putting on a fat suit, prosthetics and a wig to make a video to mock me is deeply disturbing.” Her response drew support from followers who described the video as bullying.

@samyra

And that’s all I have to say.

Ezee is a comedian and TikTok creator whose content centers on short-form skits and satire tied to internet culture and viral trends. Her videos provide “a safe space for many within her content that they relate to,” according to Cosign Magazine.

Samyra is a plus-size activist and creator who uses TikTok to discuss body image, fat acceptance and the social treatment of larger bodies. Her content focuses on how fatness is perceived and discussed in everyday life.

Supporters of Samyra criticized the video as “outdated,” “disappointing” and “not funny”.

As criticism of Ezee’s video continued, screen recordings from her TikTok Live were uploaded to Samyra’s Instagram story. In the clip, Ezee appeared to dismiss the backlash, saying, “Not y’all crying about a fat suit at your big age… Why would I apologize? You thought… Alright y’all go like and comment. Go like and comment on my last video. Big beautiful woman. Love y’all bookie butts.”

The controversy has renewed debate on social media over where the line falls between satire and harm, particularly in conversations about fatphobia.

As of publication, Ezee had not issued a formal apology or statement addressing the criticism beyond her comments on TikTok Live.
